My name is Michael John Lennon.

I’m the founder of E.C.A, an international fitness education franchise, as well as four other thriving companies. I’m a coach and mentor to some of the Fitness Industries top entrepreneurs, a former International amateur boxer, Jiu Jitsu athlete and most of all… proud husband and father.

Alongside my friend Keith Bigger we founded the RE:CON experience.

But that’s just the highlight reel of my success…

What most people don’t see is the time I lay in bed crying because I didn’t know what to do to get myself out of a mess that I had created.

Or the time my pregnant emotionally drained wife showed up at my work crying… she hadn’t seen me in 72 hours because I had slept in the gym because I couldn’t walk away from work.

You see, just 6 months earlier I decided to open my first gym…

The problem was that I had no real support, no one to guide me and no one who truly understood what I wanted to do and the challenges that I faced trying to do it.

I felt isolated, and my answer to it all was stay silent and work harder.

After years of hustling and with no real progress… my wife Katrina tried to have a simple conversation with me and I snapped at her because I was trying to work.

What the F*ck had I turned into?

The woman I loved, who’s always been there for me through thick and thin, was trying to share something with me and I couldn’t be present for even a minute.

I had become so obsessed with getting my business off the ground that I had lost track of why I was doing it in the first place.

I was making my family's life miserable because I wasn’t there for them.

I was a stranger to the people that I care about more than anything.

I knew I had to change.

And it came to head on Christmas 2016…

I finished work for the Christmas break with -£4750 (yes, minus) in the bank, leaving just enough in there to cover a cheque I had written to a team member for their wages.

I didn’t even need to say anything to my wife, she already knew we weren’t having a Christmas…

Fortunately the kids were too young to remember.

I was overworked and underpaid. I was constantly stressed and anxious about the future. I wasn’t present with my family and now I wasn’t even able to provide for them either.

That’s when I decided I had to make a change.

At first I tried to go it alone…

Then I tried reading personal development books and watching motivational YouTube videos.

Then I realized...

I needed to be around people.

I needed to be around men who were successful in all the areas that I was failing.

So I hired a mentor, joined a mastermind and put myself in a place where people understood what I was going through!

I was raised in a broken home and both my parents came from broken homes.

I didn’t openly communicate with either of them and I had no positive male influences that were present in my life.

Most of my youth I was left to my own devices and I led myself down a path of destruction.

I no longer wanted to live that type of life, and once I realized that I needed to surround myself with men who demanded more of me, that’s when I started to demand more from myself!

That’s why we created RE:CON

It took years of hard learned lessons, soul searching and mistakes, but it was worth every second.
